Blissfully Single Bean’s June 2021 Goals
As I look back at my April goals – I’m not going to lie – I did better than I thought. My strategy of setting small goals to create larger ones is a good plan and I will continue for the month of June.
Here’s why personal goal setting is important:
- Goal setting helps to keep you focused
- Setting goals encourages new behaviors
- Goals provides motivation
- Having goals drives direction
April Goals Recap
So, how did your girl fare in April? Well, again, a lot better than I thought. I do need to make it a habit of re-visiting my monthly goals to give myself another boost of motivation and direction. Read on for how I did with last month’s goals.
Reach short term weight goal of 131 pounds.
Complete! I’m currently 127.5 pounds! Haven’t been this small in a while.
Follow blogging calendar.
Incomplete. 🙁 Part of why this goal wasn’t achieved is because I kept changing the content. I need to adhere to my calendar to help reach this goal.
Blog Photo Shoot:
Complete! Got my hair done, put on a couple of outfits and took photos. I got good content to use on my blog.
Finances:
Sell my truck and use half the proceeds to pay my highest balance credit card:
Complete.
Fly out to Atlanta, visit a couple of homes and make an offer:
Incomplete. I ran into a snare. Because my home hasn’t closed yet, my debt to income ratio is still too high to make an offer on a house. House hunting in Georgia continues! Oh boy.
June Goals
Blogging
Create and adhere to blogging calendar. Commit to spending at least 4 hours a week working on my blog. I’m still working on getting to that sweet spot of publishing at least eleven blog posts per month. Another June blogging goal is also to research an e-commerce plug-in so that I can take steps toward getting my Blissfully Single Bean web store up and running.
Fitness Goals
Reach goal weight of 125 pounds. A combination of intermittent fasting, exercise and intermittent fasting will certainly get me there. You can read more about intermittent fasting here. I’m toying with losing more once I get to that 1-2-5. For the month of June, I’ll need to stay consistent with working out: no less than three days a week.
Beauty
I’m ramping up my efforts in growing my hair long. To this effort, I’m deciding to purchase the the Abrakadabra hair care system. At $300 for the kit, this is VERY pricey. But I’m willing to give it a try. I’ll be sure to blog my results after three months (that’s how long the kit lasts).
Relocation
I’m going to close by July. I’ll need to pack a room a week within the month of June to get ready for my move.
What are your goals for the month? Please share in the comments below. Until next time friends, happy goal setting!
