Easy Broiled Lobster Tail Recipe
Delicious Lobster Tail: It’s All in the Preparation
In theory, cooking lobster tail sounds simple, but for your girl, Beans, not so much. It took a lot of trial an error to figure out the best cooking method. A lot this also had to do with the way I prepped the lobster tail was prepped and the cooking methods.
Methods of Cooking Lobster Tail
Lobster tail can be prepared using a number of methods. These include baking, steaming, broiling,
Boil
- Put the lobster tail in a pot of boiling salted water
- Cook for one minute per pound of tail meat
Bake
- Cook at a high temperature (450°F) for about 10–12 minutes
- Cover the lobster in a baking dish with a little water to cook evenly
Broil
- Cut down the length of the shell and partially lift the meat out
- Broil on high until the shell is bright orange and the meat is opaque
Steam
- Cook in a steamer basket over a pot of boiling water
My favorite method of cooking is broiling. Not only is it the easiest method (for me), but broiling lobster tail preserves the wonderful flavor of the meat. Checkout my easy broiled lobster tail recipe below.
